In this project, space and time converge to explore how societies serve as repositories for past and present narratives. Inspired by Heidegger, who affirmed that “human beings dwell in time, and time dwells within human beings,” these works use voids and geometries to evoke a sense of timelessness.
The fragmented forms invite the viewer to reflect on the coexistence of the past, present, and future whithin urban environments. Walter Benjamin describes cities as intersections of collective memory, and this project draws upon this idea to create pieces that capture the essence of the tensions and energy within inhabited spaces.
