Starting with the original photo of Cow Pig, I began to play with my own images: I cut them out, mixed them, and added stones. Meat and rock in the same body. Working with digital collage (using my photos, AI, and Photoshop), the meat began to resemble something else: rock formations, landscapes, mineral blocks. The animal has disappeared; we don't know if we are seeing muscle, stone, or simply an image on a screen… but we still keep looking, swiping, consuming. We swallow everything: meat, images, ideas. With only fragments: pieces of meat, stones, textures, cutouts. The cow pig breaks down and reassembles itself in a digital collage made with my photographs, processed with AI and finished in Photoshop. For me, collage is a way of chewing the image: breaking it into fragments -pieces of meat, textures, cutouts- and reassembling them. It mirrors how we interact with social media: dividing everything into small, digestible doses for quick consumption. Is it still an animal, a landscape, a body, or just remnants floating on a screen? We keep consuming regardless. We're going to need antacids for the stones…
